POKER ROOM REVIEW STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO EPASSPORTE

STEP 1

FPS ePassporte

epassporte visaThe ePassporte model is centered on creating a virtual VISA account, which will act in all respects like the standard credit card for which you’d normally apply.

One added benefit is that it can be used to fund a poker account without the worry of having the charge declined by your bank.

Another benefit that some users may find useful is that after you have created your ePassporte account you can opt to have them mail you a “physical” VISA debit card linked to your ePassporte account that you can use to make over-the-counter purchases anywhere that you can use your normal VISA card.

One aspect of ePassporte that you should be aware of is that the first time you fund you account you must do it with a credit or debit card.

After you have successfully created, verified, and funded your account you are free to add a bank account to your personal profile and use it when transferring funds.

STEP 2

FPS ePassporte How to

The FPS ePassporte home page is:

https://www.epassporte.com/secure/epassporte.cgi.

EPASSPORTE STEP BY STEP GUDE

As always, you shouldn’t be in so much of a hurry that you neglect to read all the material presented.

The FPS site has a very comprehensive FAQ section and other helpful pages; you should take advantage of them.

Click the “Get an Account” tab and select the option to get an ePassporte personal account.

If you’ve ever applied for a credit card online this page should look very familiar to you.

STEP 3

FPS ePassporte Personal Information

Fill in all the requested information paying special attention to the reminder to use your real name and a valid e-mail address.

EPASSPORTE PERSONAL INFO

This isn’t like creating an account at a poker site where, if you choose, you can refer to yourself as “Lord Doombringer” or some other character from your personal fantasy world.

FPS ePassporte is in all respects a legitimate financial institution, so treat them as if you were talking to a representative of your own bank.

Since you will be funding your account with cash (even though it will come from your credit card), there is no separate credit check when opening your FPS account.

During the signup process, you’ll provide them with one of your credit card account numbers.

Proper ownership of this account will be verified by ePassporte when they authorize a pending charge on that account.

It will be very small (between $.01 and $2.00) and will not actually be taken from your account.

Then you simply contact your credit card company by calling the number on the back of the card or accessing your account online, verify the amount that ePassporte has charged, and report that figure to ePassporte.

This demonstrates that you have appropriate access and ownership of the specified account. The pending charge will expire within a few days.

From this point, you may transfer funds to your ePassporte account by “making a purchase” using your verified charge card. The money will immediately be transferred to your ePassporte account and can be used to fund your poker account at rooms that offer ePassporte as an option.

STEP 4

Funding Your Poker Account with ePassporte

Go to your poker account’s cashier function and select FPS ePassporte as your preferred funding source once you’ve reached the screen that manages deposits.

Indicate the amount you’d like to deposit and you will be directed to the ePassporte website to complete the transaction. That’s not as complicated as it sounds; you’ll be asked to enter your ePassporte login information so that the poker site’s computer system can verify that you have sufficient funds available in your ePassporte account.

The process is transparent to you, takes a few seconds, and the actual transfer is instantaneous. Your poker account balance will show the successful transaction and you’ll be ready to play. Remember to tip the dealer!

Withdrawals are accomplished by reversing the deposit procedure.

From the poker site cashier, select FPS ePassporte (if it isn’t already preselected), specify an amount, click to where you can verify the ePassporte login information, and your winnings travel to your ePassporte account. By the way, the poker site controls the speed of the withdrawal, not ePassporte.

Contact the poker site (or read the PokerRoomReview site review) if you have questions. You may withdraw from your ePassporte account by either using the debit card that they mail to you in an ATM or use it over the counter to make purchases, or as previously mentioned you can add a bank account to your profile and electronically transfer your money to that bank account.

Be aware that these bank-to-bank transfers can take up to 7 business days.
