US PLAYERS ACCEPTED

Full Tilt Poker has experienced remarkable growth since their opening in 2004, and that’s because they are doing plenty of things right. Some of the most well respected professional poker players in the world endorse (and play at) Full Tilt, but this poker room’s appeal reaches to almost every player, whether beginner, intermediate, or wily veteran. All the popular poker games are spread with stakes starting as low as $.05/$.10 and ranging up to the super-high-stakes $1000/$2000 Omaha and Stud games. Games move quickly, thanks to the smooth and efficient software, and the tables are laid out for optimal player ease. Full Tilt boasts a jam-packed, around the clock tournament schedule that features World Series of Poker and World Poker Tour qualifying events to complement their regularly scheduled weekly and daily events. Sit-and-go tournament players will find that contests start every few minutes, even at off-peak times.

Players new to online poker, and others who play for recreation, can take advantage of the micro-limit tables, and get used to competing for real money, without having to worry about damaging their bankroll learning the game. More experienced players will appreciate the selection of games (especially the HORSE tournaments) that will break the monotony that sometimes afflicts players who have “been around” for a while. Players with plenty of experience will be able to test their skills in high stakes games against some very serious competition. Players of all levels will notice that every once in a while one of the players at their table will be someone who they remember seeing at a final table at the WSOP, or one of the WPT events. Each of the endorsing professionals spends some time every week at games from the lowest to the highest stakes.

Most reviews seem to concentrate on the colorful avatars that represent the players, and they are certainly appealing. But Full Tilt Poker is much more than an interesting graphics package. It is a serious, well run, competitive, enjoyable place to play poker. Add it to your list of “must-see” destinations.

Poker Software

At first glance, players may miss the smooth, efficient, and solid operation of the poker game because the tables are so appealing. Players may choose an avatar from among a selection of clever designs. Each avatar is able to demonstrate four emotions, so players have an opportunity to have some fun with each other at the tables. Buttons and controls are positioned well and are easy to operate. When taking a seat at a table, the player may rotate the table so that they are always seated at the bottom of the screen, or they may elect instead to choose any location around the table. The table will rotate to put the player at the requested location. Games at specific “speed” tables operate faster than normal by cutting down the amount of time that players have to make decisions.
