Davidi Kitai became the first Belgian bracelet winner in World Series of Poker history on Sunday after defeating Chris Bell in a marathon five hour heads-up match to win Event #38 ($2,000 Pot Limit Hold 'em). David Kitai also became the third European player in a row to win a bracelet. Europeans have won nine bracelets in total, and five bracelets in the last ten events. The 2008 WSOP initially started out being referred to as the ‘Year of the Pro’ but as a group, European players have dominated the tables in the last 2 weeks.
