Walker Poker takes over Wingows

6/17/2008 3:21:44 PM

Walker Poker announced that it will be taking over the assets of Wingows Gaming, including Wingows Poker player's database. Walker Poker was established in 2007 and is operating on the Merge Gaming network

Wingows Poker began their online saga in 2006, operating on the Dobrosoft network. By the end of 2006, Dobrosoft was sold to the Digital Gaming Network (DGN) AKA FutureBet. DGN/FB managed to string this scam out for almost a year, but ultimately Dobrosoft had to resume control of the network due to DGN’s shady business practices. Almost immediately, it was apparent that there had been fraud and embezzlement of escrow money deposited to ensure player's funds, perpetrated by DGN/FB operators.

According to unofficial sources, Wingows Poker lost more than $500,000 in player's money in the period when DGN/FB operated the network, not including loss of rake for that period.

In the category of 'I-guess-it’s-better-than-nothing,' Walker Poker officials outlined the proposal by which they plan to reimburse players with outstanding balances at Wingows. These balances will be transferred to WP, but the funds will not be immediately available for withdrawal. For every dollar a player generates in rake, $.25 cents will be cleared for a cash-out.
