01.09.2007 06:26 PM I prepared for the interview with Mike Caro as I always do, by doing some research and making a long list of questions that I usually don’t get to, but like to have in case the interviewee needs a lot of prompting. With Mike, I think I asked two prepared questions, and he was off and running. I tossed the rest of the questions away and buckled in for the ride, as he seized on one topic after another, following the whimsical rhythms of his thought patterns without ever losing his enthusiasm or running out of steam. 09.04.2006 02:21 PM Women online poker room managers are, at this point in time, not very common, yet anyone suffering from the delusion that women cannot compete in this line of work can be instantly cured of it by meeting Trish Salazar. She is feisty, opinionated, outspoken, and thoroughly competent. This woman knows poker. After all, she hangs out with guys like Doyle and Todd Brunson, not to mention Mike Caro. She is also very genuine and considerate. I caught up with Trish on a busy day, yet she was completely accessible and gave me her full attention as ...

When you talk to him, however, his legal training is clearly apparent and you would have no problem imagining him in front of a jury, making his closing argument.
We talked recently about his job, his background, and the difficulty of keeping everyone happy.
MF: How long have you been in the poker business?
RF: I have actually only been ...
06.30.2006 11:08 AM This is the first in an ongoing series of interviews I will be conducting with online poker room managers. We at Poker Room Review hope this will help to put a human face to the sometimes anonymous world of web poker rooms, and that since the rooms are often a reflection of the manager’s personal style, it will ultimately be useful information.
When talking with Americas Cardroom manager Phil Nagy, it immediately becomes apparent that here is someone who loves what they do. On the subject of poker, he radiates enthusiasm, and his rapid-fire speech carries you along with frequent prompts ...
